Coach Ethan Trexler was born in Anaheim, CA, so naturally he is a huge Anaheim Ducks fan! (Don’t ask him why he played for the Junior Kings then…:))

Moved to College Station, TX, in 2003 with family, and was figuring out what to do since he had moved to a place where there was no hockey; the closest was in Houston. Fast forward to 2006 when he heard College Station had plans to put in a rink. His love for hockey quickly grew in his chest again and consumed his thoughts. Once he started to get on the ice again, he reached out to the Houston Junior Aeros Bantam A head coach to see if his team needed a player; he earned himself a spot on the roster after being asked to come for a tryout skate. While also playing 4 years of varsity hockey for the then College Station High School team, the Brazos Valley Bucks. Ethan would also play his travel hockey in Houston until his final season.

After his playing career, Ethan became an official to stay with the game and give back to the game of hockey. He then moved to Arlington, TX, to finish school and develop as an official. He was lucky enough to have worked some very high-level hockey because of the work he had put in and on the feedback he was given. He was very thankful to share the ice with several NCAA DI commits and future NHL Draft Picks. Hockey has always been in his blood, which is why he has it on TV every night and studies the game analytically and diligently.

Now he and his wife, Hannah, and daughter, Kennedy, are moving back to Houston, and they couldn’t be more excited about it! Through his relationship over the years with Bobby Reynolds, and Jeff Smith, Ethan has earned the trust and respect of them both and couldn’t be happier to start this new and exciting chapter in his hockey life.

Ethan would like to thank everyone who has been a part of his hockey career. From Day One to today, from all walks of hockey. He wouldn’t be where he is today without the trust and support of all of those countless individuals. Thank you!
