Coach Tom Anderson is a retired career Firefighter/Paramedic and current Adjunct Faculty with San Jacinto College Fire Technology program. Coach Anderson lived in Jennison, Michigan where he learned to skate and was introduced to the sport of hockey on the ponds and rivers native to the area. When he moved with his parents to the Fort Bend County area around the age of 13, he thought seeing ice or ice hockey again would only be during periodic visits to family in the Indianapolis area. When the Aerodrome in Sugar Land was constructed and hockey programs were implemented, Tom was able to play, coach and referee the sport he loved as a kid; now as an adult. His love for coaching was influenced as his father was a NCAA football, baseball and swimming coach during his youth in Indiana and Michigan. In addition to coaching, Coach Anderson still plays adult league hockey, is a life-long golfer, enjoys Gulf inshore and offshore fishing with his son, is an avid automotive enthusiast and amateur motorcycle road racer. Coach Anderson also serves as the USA Hockey/TAHA Region Player Safety Coordinator. His son is a Houston Wild alumnus who now plays hockey at Western Michigan University of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
